FROG stands for Fund Raising and Outreach Group. The group’s mission is to find ways to improve the church and surroundings without taking away from basic church funds.
The FROGs have two basic goals, 1.) To reach out to the community and bring more people to Christ through our Little Church with a Big Heart. 2.) To raise funds for updates and improvements to the sanctuary and fellowship hall.
The proceeds from FROG sponsored events and dinners are earmarked strictly for improvement and outreach projects. For instance, the group has replaced curtains, the floor in Fellowship Hall, and we were a major contributor to the air conditioning in the hall as well as the Playground.
The FROGs also sponsor the giving tree and “Families in Need” projects during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
Proceeds from our annual Classic Car Show and other events also support our Scholarship Program for our church youth graduating from high school. The group uses all its own supplies for events.
We are thankful and blessed with many spirit filled, generous men and women who continue to share their love for our Lord through the New Brooklyn UMC FROGs.
